Our musicals feature a flat-rate fee per production. For example, if you plan on three shows, add three performance royalties to your cart. 
 
What's are performance royalties and why do I need them?

Purchase of a script does not constitute a licensing agreement. Additional royalties must be purchased according to United States copyright law. 

Any performance of a work—in whole or in part—under copyright for an audience must be licensed, regardless of whether or not admission is charged, whether the performance is public or private, and whether or not it is for charity, personal, or financial benefit.

The Copyright Act explains that performance “means to recite, render, play, dance, or act it, either directly or by means of any device or process or, in the case of a motion picture or other audiovisual work, to show its images in any sequence or to make the sounds accompanying it audible.” (17 U.S.C. § 101)
